Coronavirus (COVID-19): Business Ventilation Fund
Overview

Overview

The Business Ventilation Fund is open to applications.

The Business Ventilation Fund will provide funding to help small and medium sized businesses improve their ventilation, and help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Businesses can claim up to £2,500 per eligible premises to recover the costs of carrying out work to improve ventilation and air quality. This could include:

  • installing of carbon dioxide monitors
  • repairs to windows and vents

Support was initially targeted at high-risk settings where people come into close contact, such as restaurants, bars and gyms. However, since 4 Feb 2022 it has been extended to also include other medium and low-risk settings. The full list of eligible settings are provided in the eligibility section.

The total funding package is worth £25 million, and was announced by the First Minister in September 2021

This document sets out the eligibility criteria, costs which can be claimed back and the application process. It has no statutory basis, is offered without prejudice to relevant legislation and legal decisions and does not constitute legal advice.

Closing date

It will close to new applications at 5pm on 11 March 2022. Approved applications will have until 12pm on 31 March 2022 to submit their claim for reimbursement.
