Overview

The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Directions by Local Authorities) (Scotland) Regulations 2020 were made and laid on 27 August 2020, and came into force on 28 August 2020.

This guidance applies from 28 August 2020. It is issued under regulation 2(1) of the Regulations. Local authorities must have regard to this guidance when exercising their functions under the Regulations.

These measures expire on 31 January 2021 but the Scottish Ministers must review the need for these regulations at least once every 42 days, with the first review being carried out by 9 October 2020.
