Learning from our Launch

As we start to see the return of warmer days, and leave winter behind us, it is nice to think back to the launch of our programme in June, when any sneezes were more likely to be caused by hay fever than nasty colds.

The event was designed and organised by archaeologist and project manager Dr Alex Hale as an experiment in involving a range of people in a multi-disciplinary journey down part of the river.

Alex recently read a paper about the event at a UNESCO conference in Trento.  You can see his presentation, and read the text that goes with it.

Working with a film maker, Alex has produced a video of the event.

Our thoughts are now turning to summer 2016, and the second stage of our journey down the river.  Watch this space for further information close to the time, and your chance to join us!
