Doing research

There are lots of ways to investigate Scotland's Rural Past and knowing where to begin is often the most difficult part of the process! This section will help you get started by introducing you to historical documents and how to use them; guiding you through the steps involved in undertaking an oral history project; and offering a few suggestions for research themes that you may wish to explore.
