Scotland's Rural Past Final Conference will be held on Saturday 18 June 2011. The day conference will be at the Birnam Arts and Conference Centre, Birnam, Perthshire, and the evening champagne reception, dinner and dance will be held at Blair Castle, Blair Atholl, Perthshire. Our final conference is about celebrating the contribution of all the SRP projects and events and activities will be run throughout the day to showcase work from projects across Scotland.

Events during the day will include presentations by SRP participants, as well as posters, displays and slide shows featuring work from many of the projects. There will also be lots more going on, including the launch of the SRP Publication (Scotlands Rural Past: community archaeology in action) and the two new SRP exhibitions, a prize-giving for the winners of the SRP 2010 Photo Competition, and the RCAHMS book stall with lots of RCAHMS publications to give away!

The day conference is followed by the special conference dinner and dance at Blair Castle. This special event is open to everyone, regardless of whether or not they attend the day conference, so please bring your partners, your family and your friends!

You can choose a shorter walk (about 2 miles) or a longer walk (about 5-6 miles). Both will eventually lead you to the SRP Grande Finale Tea Party! The walk is free, but places are limited and will need to be booked in advance using the conference registration form.
