Medieval Construction Science Show

A fun, interactive show for P4 to S1 pupils to learn how huge medieval buildings went up.

This engaging show for P4 to S1 pupils explores the engineering of medieval buildings to explain how huge castles and abbeys were built – and why many still stand tall today.

Pupils join in fun, interactive demonstrations as they follow the journey of a block of stone from quarry to arch. Science and technology principles such as gravity, forces and pulleys are examined along the way.

Our Medieval Construction Science Show is adapted to suit the particular year group. Shows are free but must be booked in advance. Bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
