Coronavirus (COVID-19): safer businesses and workplaces

As part of Scotland’s ongoing response to COVID-19, businesses should comply with current protection measures.

Continued collective effort and commitment, particularly in sticking to the rules and guidance in place, will be a critical part of our response in the weeks and months ahead.

This guidance is for all businesses and workplaces and provides advice on measures to reduce risk and create a safe environment for customers and staff.

There are additional mandatory and advisory measures for specific sectors to help reduce transmission of the virus, including for: hospitality (including adult entertainment), nightclubs, sport stadia, sport and indoor leisure facilities, live events, cultural venues, life events, retail, amusement arcades, betting shops/ bookmakers, close contact services, tourist accommodation, soft plays and leisure, and those who work in other people's homes.

How to use this guidance

You should use this guidance to consider the transmission risk of COVID-19 within your premises, and identify the necessary measures you will need to put in place to protect workers and visitors.
