Our new digital strategy, A changing nation: how Scotland will thrive in a digital worlddelivered in partnership with COSLA, enables a shared vision of a modern, digital and collaborative government, designed around people.

We have also published a progress report that summarises the progress made against the actions outlined in the 2017 Digital Strategy for Scotland.


We are implementing our digital strategy by:


A changing nation: how Scotland will thrive in a digital world replaces Realising Scotland’s full potential in a digital world. It was originally published in 2017 and set out how the Scottish Government would make sure that digital was at the heart of everything we were doing including delivering economic growth, reforming our public services, and preparing our children for the workplace of the future.

 It was accompanied by an evidence paper which summarised the links between digital, economic productivity and inclusion. T he paper also analysed Scotland's digital performance over time and in an international context.

Bills and legislation

The Legislation and Regulation Catalogue provides guidance on legislation that applies to the delivery of digital services and is regularly reviewed and updated.
